What is wrong with this area? - Knowledgebase Question

Out in my front yard on one side of my driveway, I have planted perennials,shrubs, and tulips at some time and they have all died, everytime something would die I would try something else,the drip is fine I do not know whats wrong, Please give me some advice.Everything else in my front is thriving and beautiful.

I wonder if there is something in the soil that is causing the problem, or maybe something missing from the soil? Have you tried incorporating some organic matter to help the soil drain well yet hold just the right amount of moisture? That would be my first consideration. Second on the list is choosing plants that thrive in the sun or shady conditions the planting bed provides. Try amending the soil and planting drought tolerant shrubs and perennials. Once established most will grow in poor or dry soils without problem. Wish I had other ideas!
