The Q&A Archives: removing dead flowers

Question: How and when should I remove dead flowers from gerbera plants

Answer: When the flowers are spent and beginning to wilt, cut off the entire flowering stem, down to about a half inch above where it emerges. New flowering stems will be produced from the crown of the plant. Enjoy your gerbera daisies!
