| can i make raised bed out of broken furniture . reason i am asking that if that things have any chemicals . because it said that vegetable garden should be made out of untreated lumber but can i use some pieces of broken bed and tables ans doors. |
| You can use any wood you have available. It's true that some stains and paints can leach into the soil but I don't think your furniture was treated with CCA, which is a wood preservative. If you are still concerned, you can line the wood with plastic before adding your topsoil. That will serve as a barrier to anything that might try to leach out of the wood.
