| We live in a home that backs up to a school field. The thistles in the fiels are awful and are now taking up the back 1/4 of our backyard. We've tried the fire dragon thing, Round up, etc. Nothing has worked. Is there anything we can do about this? My husband even dug up a bunch of soil and tried to dig them out. We just ended up with big dirt patches in our yard. HELP! |
| Thistles will spread by seeds so as long as the fields adjacent to your home have thistles, you will have them, too. Perhaps the best approach is to contact the school or your county weed management department for assistance. If they torch or flame the thistles before the plants flower and set seeds, and you do the same in your yard, you'll be able to get the upper hand on these weeds. Wish there were an easier way to eradicate them! |
