Nellie R Stevens holly grows fast in your region and you can prune it to keep it in shape. Or, you might try a clumping bamboo or ornamental grass. Be sure to stay away from running bamboo or it will take over your yard! For immediate coverage, consider growing an annual vine. Just construct a trellis and plant hyacinth bean, scarlet runner bean or sweet peas at the bottom of the trellis and they will grow up enough to hide the condenser. Best wishes with your garden!
