The Q&A Archives: Caring for Narcissus After Blooming

Question: My Narcissus bulbs have flowered and are dying off as expected. What is the proper procedure for the bulbs and greeenery that remains. We live in South Florida. Neil Florida

Answer: I'm glad to hear that your Narcissus bulbs flowered so well. You don't need to do anything to the bulbs and foliage. Wait until the foliage has died back to cut it back. The foliage envigorates the bulb for next year. After the foliage has completely died down, the bulbs go into a resting period until they are ready to bloom next year.
