Pepper plants naturally have black streaks or areas along the stems, especially where they branch out or develop leaves. It's perfectly normal for them. They grow best when the weather is warm so it might be a little early in the season to expect lots of growth. When the air and soil temperatures suit them, they will put out lots of new growth. Be patient with your peppers and they will reward you later this season. Hope you have a great harvest!
