I recently transplanted my Iris to a new bed. When I put mulch down, do I need to leave the tuber exposed or can I cover them up. Thanks ahead for your time and response

You can cover over the rhizome with a couple of inches of mulch material without harm. The rhizomes tend to push themselves up out of the ground over a period of time and the mulch will help keep them covered and free of sunscald. Good luck with your irises!
