I just planted a dogwood tree...and I think the deer are eating it. Do they like dogwoods, or could this be another issue?

Deer do like dogwoods so if you have deer in the area, that is probably what is happening. You can try scare tactics (hanging strips of alumnum foil or shiny CD's from the branches, or liquid repellants (Ropel or Deer Away), or you drape your dogwood with bird netting to act as a barrier until the deer get the message that they can't eat the foliage. Hope this works for you!
