You can take plugs from healthy parts of your lawn and plant them in the bare areas. Just use a hand trowel to cut out two or three inch squares of healthy turf, digging deep enough to get the roots. Then replant in the bare area, spacing plugs 6-8 inches apart. Then use topsoil to fill in the holes where you took the plugs out. The grass will grow in to cover the holes and in the areas where you placed the plugs the grass will grow together over the bare soil. Best wishes with your turf.
