The Q&A Archives: which trees?

Question: I need to know atleast two diff. types of upright pyrimidal/columnar evergreens that don't get any wider than 3 feet and get atleast 10-15 feet tall for a SW lawn in soil that is pretty well drained in So. Iowa. Thank-you

Answer: Columnar Blue Spruce (Picea p. 'Glauca Fastigiata) grows about 10' tall and 3-4' wide; Thuja occidentalis 'Degroot's Spire' (Degroot's Spire Arborvitae), or Juniperus Icee Blue (Icee Blue Juniper) are all good choices for your gardening region.
