I planted a pomegranate about 2 years ago. Each year the blossoms fall off & do not become fruit. Why does this happen? |
Some pomegranates are strictly ornamental and others are fruit bearing. It might help to know the name of your pomegranate. If you are sure it is a fruit bearing variety, and if it flowers, it should produce fruit unless there are no flying insects to pollenate each open flower. I don't know if you regularly spray insecticides or perhaps your neighbors do, but for some reason there aren't enough pollinating insects in your yard. Wish I had more ideas to share! |
