The Q&A Archives: Propagation

Question: How do I propagate Romneya Colteri?

Answer: Romneya Colteri is the Matilija poppy, a perennial that spreads by rhizomes, and can be divided in the spring wherever you find new sprouts. Or, you can collect and save the seed in the fall for planting in the spring. If you choose to dig new sprouts in the spring, plant the rhizomes at the same depth they were growing before to help avoid transplant shock.
