Paper White Narcissus bulbs can be planted outdoors in the fall when the weather cools. Until then, let the foliage wither and die naturally, then dig the bulbs and store them in a cool, dark place. Plant outdoors in October or November, or replant them in a container of potting soil to bring indoors. Plant with 5-6 inches of soil over the tops of the bulbs and space them up to 8 inches apart outdoors. If forcing for indoors, cover with 3-4 inches of soil and space the bulbs 2-3 inches apart. When sprouts appear, water well and bring inside for winter bloom.
