My two apple trees that were blooming beautifully, have suddenly developed areas of wilting. The tops of the branches are withering, the fruits are falling off. What can I do to stop this?

Unless you recently sprayed something on your trees or used a weed killer directly beneath the trees there is no explanation for the sudden wilting and browning other than water stress. Diseases usually take time to develop and you'll see signs and symptoms. With water stress (too much or too little) the leaves can suddenly wilt. Investigate the circumstances to the best of your ability and you may come up with a reason for the problem. Best wishes with your trees.
