Answer: Unless you recently sprayed something on your trees or used a weed killer directly beneath the trees there is no explanation for the sudden wilting and browning other than water stress. Diseases usually take time to develop and you'll see signs and symptoms. With water stress (too much or too little) the leaves can suddenly wilt.
