My advocado pit is developing with roots a long stem and baby leaves. Someone told me that it will not be a fruit bearing tree, unless it was fertized. How can you tell if a pit was fertilized. It is still in a glass of water |
Avocado trees started from pits can and do develop avocados, but not until they are 8-10 years of age. In the meantime you can grow your tree as a houseplant and eventually plant it outdoors to enjoy as a shade tree. It will develop fruit when it is mature enough to do so. Enjoy! |
