marigolds: success & failure - Knowledgebase Question

Thanks for your last answer! We planted marigolds in our sunny and regularly watered zone 10-11 yard 2 years ago and they were gorgeous! They grew huge and we received many compliments! So we decided to do it again last year and they became puny and the heads of the plants

Sometimes weather can be a factor in the success or failure of plants - even tough marigolds! I'd try again but before planting work some compost or other organic matter into the planting bed to help the soil drain well yet hold just the right amount of water. Then plant your marigolds. I think they will thrive. Enjoy!
