The Q&A Archives: citrus tree (clementine)

Question: best fertilizer; leaves don't look very healthy

Answer: If your tree is over 3 years of age, feed with a special citrus food fertilizer in March, May, August and early October of every year. Apply a citrus fertilizer at the rate of 1/4 pound for each inch of tree circumference measured 6 inches above the ground by scattering the fertilizer under the spread of the branches and out past the drip line. If your tree is under 3 years of age, apply less fertilizer (as listed on the fertilizer package). Be sure to water once or twice a week to maintain a moist soil during hot, dry weather.
