what is the best way to water tomatoes growing in planter boxes without rows |
Tomatoes need lots of water so pour it onto the soil (not the foliage of the plants) as often as necessary to keep the soil moist but not soggy wet. Water throughly and then check the soil moisture a couple of days later by sticking your finger in the soil. If it is still moist an inch or two beneath the surface you won't need to water for another few days. If it is dry, it's time to water. Best wishes with your tomato plants! |
