I use pots to plant my annuals--- pansy, impatients, petunias, marigolds, etc. I have miracle grow potting mix. Can I use topsoil with this potting mixture? Also, when using only top soil, peat and manure to plant my annuals, how much peat and manure are required in planting these annuals in my large pots?

You can make your own potting soil rather than purchasing soilless mix. It is important to mix organic matter into garden soil before using it or it will dry out too quickly and be hard to water. To make your own, mix one part peat moss (or compost), one part garden soil, and one part clean coarse (builder's) sand by volume. Mix well and then fill your containers. Good luck with your garden!
