The Q&A Archives: planting

Question: my sister have a gardenia tree that i took out and some of the root was damage i replanted it in my back yard i used a slow releasing fertilizer and water it good will it live

Answer: You may not see new growth on the gardenia until the roots recover but I think with good care it will regrow some new roots and the plant will be fine. Keep watering on a regular basis but don't feed any more this season. Give the plant a chance to establish its root system and it should be okay. I hope so!
