Bacopa is the Water Hyssop, a water plant for tropical gardens, is perennial in temperate regions like the southwest and partially up the Atlantic seaboard. It forms a mat of roots and leaves and flowers in the summer. In your region it won't be hardy over the winter, but you can bring some of it indoors and keep it growing in an aquarium, for planting outdoors the following spring. Because Bacopa grows in ponds it needs no particular care; water and nutrients are readily available.
