I live in chicago and I planted oriental lilly bulbs and something has pulled and eaten on of the flowers that just started to peek out from the ground. What do I do?? Myrnie |
How disappointing! Since you don't know which critters are munching on your plants the best control is to put temporary cages over them until they grow large enough to fend for themselves. Just make cylinders out of chicken wire or hardware cloth and set them over your plants. Make them at least two feet tall. It won't look especially attractive, but at least your plants will have a fighting chance to grow to maturity! |
