Do squirrels eat tomato plants? If they do what can I do to get rid of the problem? I just planted a few plants and the next day the keaves were all chewed off .I found a squirrel eating the bird food so is that the problem?

I would put a temporary cage over each tomato plant. Make cylinders out of chicken wire, bury it into the ground about 6" and make sure the cylinder is covered with additional chicken wire. This will keep the squirrels away from the plants and they may go elsewhere to feed. Good luck with your plants.
