The Q&A Archives: Roses

Question: I have roses and I live in S.C. when am I supposed to prune them??

Answer: If your roses retain their leaves all year around and never really go dormant, late December and early January are the times to prune them back. If you prune now, you will delay flowering for several weeks. Bst wishes with your roses!
