I have had a beautiful Aloe plant since it was about 3 in. high. It is now about 4 feet. It's been in a screen room for many years, but now must be moved outdoors. Can it take the hot sun in Central Florida? What about occasional freezes in the winter?

Your aloe will do fine in full sun. It needs good drainage and an occasional drink of water. As far as winter is concerned, a hard freeze will kill it but a brief minor freeze will only burn it back a bit. It will look watersoaked-brown but will come back fine. When temps will fall below freezing you may want to cover it for protection.
