The Q&A Archives: kill weed

Question: what is the name of a vine like weed that spreads all over lawn and garden beds and how do i kill it?

Answer: It would be helpful to know what the weed is before trying to offer control options. For instance, field bindweed (also called morningglory) is nearly impossible to eradicate without digging and using a vegetation killer (which can harm your other plants). Other weeds might respond with just hand digging, or in the case of Creeping Charlie, to a borax solution. Try to have the weed identified - perhaps at your local garden center? Then if the staff there cannot suggest control remedies, submit a new question to this forum with the name of the weed and we'll make helpful suggestions. Best wishes with your landscape!
