The Q&A Archives: when to prune

Question: when is the best time to prune American Arborvatie?
Is it okay to do it any time if I have already missed the best time?

Answer: You can prune your arborvitae now. As a general rule, arborvitaes should be pruned in the early spring, just as new growth is beginning. You can still prune yours and your plant will replace the lost foliage. Best wishes with your landscape.
