How can I get posion ivy out of my hedges without having to remove the hedges they are used as a privaticy fence |
I'm afraid you will need to cut the poison ivy and the base, pull it out of your hedges and then paint an herbicide on the stubs of the stems you cut. The herbicide will travel down and help kill the roots, but repeat applications will need to be made. Round Up or Brush B Gone are products you can use, but be sure to keep the products off your hedges or it will kill them, too. The best approach is to paint the herbicide on the freshly cut poison ivy stubs. Good luck with your project! |
