My mom's Christmas Cactus leaves are turning a pinkish or purple color. What can she go to fix the problem?

The pink or purple coloration onf Christmas cactus leaves maybe be too much sun on the plant or a phosphorous deficiency. Christmas cactus like bright, but filterred light, so don't let the plant's get too much sun, especially afternoon sun, on the leaves.

Also, the plants are actively growing this time of year so be sure to fertilizer with a balanced fertilizer. I like using Osmocote, a time release fertilizer. The pellets are sprinkled in the pot and every time you water, fertilizer is automatically released. It should be available in garden centers.
