Are there specific annuals that rabbits and slugs don't like to eat? The slugs stay off my petunias (planted in the sun), and the rabbits leave my vincas and mums alone but not vice versa. I've used plenty of deterrents and I'm just tired of it. Would rather just plant something they won't eat.

Consider interplanting your flowers with garlic, onions, Mexican marigold or Dusty Miller. Bunnies tend not to like their aroma. Slugs like cool, dark, moist places, so try to leave generous spacing between plants to increase air circulation, and don't mulch the beds with organic mulches. You can try one of those copper slug fences around the border of your garden.
