You can use nearly anything to provide a climbing area for your tomatoes and cucumbers. A simple stake will work; a piece of plastic trellis propped up against a wall will work; you can string twine from a wooden frame and train the plants up the twine or you can make a hinged frame in the form of an upside down V, drape it with birdnetting and set it over your plants so they can grow up and then down over the sides of the V. Best wishes with your garden.
