our snow fountains weeping cherry plant has somethig eating the leaves? what would be safe to use?

Without knowing exactly what might be feasting on the leaves, I can't really make a recommendation. Not all insecticides work against all pests nor are they safe for all types of plants. Inspect the leaves carefully to see what you can find. Pear slugs (black), caterpillars (usually green) and some beetles will eat cherry tree leaves. Once you capture a few of the pests you can have them identified at your local cooperative extension, Master Gardener clinic or well staffed nursery. Helpful folks there can suggest control measures.
