The Q&A Archives: Forsythia - only 1 branch bloomed

Question: I planted my Forsythia in a partial shady spot late last summer. This year all of the branches got buds but only 1 branch bloomed. That one branch looks great, the rest look like they have since early Spring. I fertilized it in early spring. Now what? The blooms have gone to leaves. Should I prune now? I live in southeast MA.
