My husband put Dursban around yard and house. Some got in potted herbs and around an herb bed. I like to cook with these herbs. Are they safe to use or not?

The label is the final authority on how and where to apply a product. We are not able to o.k. an unlabeled application or declare it safe.

Check your Dursban label for a phone number of the company that produces it. They may be able to guide you as to the length of time it is active in the soil or on plants, and any special suggestions for making your herb bed and containers for safe for future culinary herb growing.

You can also call the National Pesticide Telecommunications Network at 1-800-858-7378. This is a national pesticide information service that may be able to help you determine what to do.
