The Q&A Archives: house plant

Question: what do i do when leaves turn brown on the tips of majesty palm, lily, massangeana esc. do i need to trim the brown off?

Answer: Dry indoor air is the usual cause of brown leaf tips. You can cut the brown off but after you do the plant will seal off the cut and you'll get another brown margin. Sometimes I break off just the brown part without cutting into the green tissue. It won't hurt your plants to cut the brown off. Good luck with your houseplants!
