| I am trying to start a gunnera plant from what I think are the seeds from my mother plant and not having any luck . any suggestions would be appreciated thanks Darrell |
| Gunnera is one of those weird and wonderful plants. The exotic-looking foliage seems like out of a dinosaur movie! When flowers fade and the seed pods turn brown, harvest the seeds. Then sow outdoors in a prepared bed, just barely covering the seeds with additional soil. (Or sow indoors in trays of moistened seed starting mix and keep at 60F - 70F). Seeds will sprout in 14-60 days. Keep seed bed moist but not soggy wet. |
