The Q&A Archives: Hawaiin ti Cordyline Fruticosa 'red sister'

Question: Hello

Can I plant this outside in direct sun? If so, will it come back next year?

Answer: You can plant it outdoors but full sunshine will be too much for the plant. Try morning sun and afternoon shade. Hawaiian Ti plants are frost sensitive so if your garden remains frost free in the winter, the plant will grow well. If you get frost, the Ti plants will die. Good luck with your landscape!
