Hi,
I want to break apart hostas to plant in differnt areas. How?

You can divide your hostas by digging out the entire root mass and cutting it apart with a shovel. The roots will be intertwined and difficult to separate so the best approach is to cut the mass into pieces, by slicing straight down through the mass. As long as each division has both roots and some leaves attached it will grow into a new plant. Best wishes with your hostas!
