the tag from your store says to water weekly does that mean once a week? do they like to be on the dry side? |
Once established, clematis can get by with one deep soaking per week. But, it your plant is young and small, I'd water at least twice a week. Clematis likes its top in the sun and the roots cool and moist. After planting spread several inches of compost or other organic mulch over the root area. Water deeply when you do water, but allow the top half inch of soil to dry out between waterings. Enjoy your new clematis! |
