The Q&A Archives: Roses no buds

Question: I have a rose bush that has leaves but no buds? Should I take the bush out?

Answer: Before removing it, give it another chance. First, prune it back by about a third. Then feed it with a bloom booster (low nitrogen, high phosphorus) fertilizer. If it still won't bloom, it may be blind and should be replaced. Hope it blooms for you!
