What is the latest news on trimming/pruning Mulberry trees. We have 2 one male, one female they are over the top of the roof of the house. |
It is best to prune each winter when the tree is fully dormant and has dropped all its leaves - this is when it is easiest to see the branch structure. With caution, prune away any damaged branches, any branches located in a poor area like a roof, wires, etc. You can certainly prune off any low hanging or othwerise poorly located branches at any time of the year. Here is a webpage of good general pruning advice, so that you prune the best way, without causing harm to the tree's structure and branches: http://cals.arizona.edu/pubs/g... Hope this information helps! |
