| I have two magnolia tree's they are about 6 years old and they just started blooming huge white flowers. My question is, the flowers really stink. I thought magnolias were supose to smell great don't they make perfume out of this stuff? is there something I should add to the soil? are they missing some sort of nutrient? |
| Magnolia flowers should have a lemony fragrance so I wonder if it's the flowers that stink or the leaves? As the flowers turn into cones the sticky coating may have an off odor. You can simply pop the flowers off the trees when they begin to fade to remove the conelike structure. Aside from this, I don't think you can do anything to make your magnolia trees more fragrant! |
