| I was working on a beach community, and the maintenance crew were cutting and removing bushes of rugosa rose that have over taken a common area. I dug some up and brought it home. My question is what is the best way to plant these bushes so they will survive the transplanting? |
| Rugosa roses are among the hardiest of all so you should not have any trouble getting yours to grow. Just plant them in average garden soil and water them well. Expect some leaf wilting and branch dieback until the roots become established. Once they do you will see new growth. At that time you can prune them back to remove any dead stems and leaves. Water them deeply once each week and they will establish well. Enjoy! |
