There's nothing safe to use on weeds in flower beds that won't hurt your plants as well as the weeds. Hand pulling is the safest approach, followed by a thick layer of mulch to suffocate/stop additional weeds from sprouting. You can use a thick layer of folded newspapers, cardboard, compost or other organic matter to keep weeds from popping up later this summer. There are also pre emergent herbicides (such as Preen) that you can apply to the soil to keep weed seeds from germinating, but such products will not kill existing weeds. Good luck with your garden!
