The Q&A Archives: Celosia cristata

Question: I just planted Celosia abd the flowers are turning brown. What should I do? Pinch the tips off?

Answer: The crested cockscombs you purchased will have velvety, fan-shaped flower clusters in yellow, orange, crimson, purple or red. There are tall varieties that grow to 3 feet, and dwarf varieties that grow only 8-10 inches tall. Either kind should produce more blooms throughout the summer. Just cut the blossoms off after they fade.
