My bougenvilla will not grow and bloom. I have had it in a large planter and now it has been in the yard for a year. Only a few blooms appear. I havewatered it and fed it according to instructions, but nothing helps. Everyone else can't kill their bougenvilla, but I can't get mine to grow. Please help!

Have you tried pruning it back? Bougainvilleas develop flowers on new growth. Pruning will encourage new growth. These plants bloom on a cycle of about 6 weeks. They grow, then flower, then rest, then grow and flower again. Pruning will force new flowering growth so give this a try. Hope yours flowers soon!
