The Q&A Archives: rose mary

Question: hello, I planted some rose mary in good soil with compost, watered them good about 2 times a week, but they r drying up.what's the problem?

Answer: You may be killing your rosemary with kindness. This plant grows best in poor to average soil that's kept on the dry side. The wonderfully rich organic matter you've added to your soil is perfect for any other perennial plant, but is too rich for your rosemary. Try planting again - in a spot with average soil, or in a container filled with cactus mix. I think you'll see a great improvement!
