The Q&A Archives: brown boxwoods

Question: I have several small boxwoods that face east and were very brown on top (burnt looking) in early Spring. Their counterparts that face north are green and beautiful, making me think boxwoods do not like direct morning sun. Anyway, I trimmed off the brown on 5/9/09 exposing some of the inside of the bush (also brown'ish) but still no new growth. Will they recover? Thanks, Nancy (Portland, OR)
