We live in SC, and have Bermuda grass. My husband put down Scott's weed & feed on it about 2 wks ago. He had put down Halts grab grass preventer twice before. These were all applied 4- 6 wks apart. A day after the weed & feed was put down, the grass started to turn reddish & then dying. What happened. But most imp.,how can we get the dead spots back quickly. Thx, Nancy

As you have discovered, not all weed and feed products can be used on all types of turf so the product may have targeted your turfgrass as a weed rather than as a turfgrass. There's not much you can do after the herbicide has killed off your lawn other than to rake it out and reseed. Before applying a weed and feed product again, be sure to read the label to make sure it is safe to use on your type of turfgrass, and apply in amounts as recommended on the label. Vigoro Ultra Turf Weed and Feed
is safe to use on bermuda lawns. Avoid Atrazine based weed and feed products - they can harm bermuda turfgrasses. Best wishes with your lawn.
